DESCRIPTION:Ben jij al begonnen om je boerderij fossielvrij te maken en kringlopen te sluiten? Wil je weten hoe andere boeren hieraan werken? En hoe jij zelf kan bijdragen aan de verandering naar een ander voedselsysteem? Kom dan naar het boerenvuur bij Voedselgaard Kleverland. \nTijdens dit boerenvuur gaan we aan de slag met een klus op de boerderij\, wisselen we (ondertussen) praktijkervaringen uit en gaan we rond het kampvuur dieper in gesprek over onze zoektocht naar oplossingen voor de problemen waar we tegenaan lopen. Meino Smit komt ons inspireren en prikkelen met zijn ideeën over de landbouw van de toekomst en onze rol als agro-ecologische boeren daarin. Op Voedselgaard Kleverland wordt al gewerkt met verschillende fossielvrije praktijken waar we van kunnen leren (zie https://hetkleverland.nl/). \nNa een middag vol inhoudelijke uitwisseling genieten we samen van een potluckmaaltijd bij het kampvuur. DESCRIPTION:Burgerboerderij Oosterwold (BBO) is een gastvrije plek net buiten de stad Almere. Een plek waar voedsel\, natuur en gezondheid mensen met elkaar verbinden en laten groeien. Waar ruimte is voor ontmoeten en experimenteren met samen-leven en een ander economisch systeem. \nBBO streeft naar multifunctionele landbouw: samenwerking met meerdere ondernemers op één erf. Dat is een zoektocht waarin je met elkaar in gesprek moet blijven: hoe moet dat\, hoe organiseer je dat met die ondernemers\, hoe regel je dat juridisch en financieel?  Hoe kun je zorgen dat iedereen tevreden is en zijn eigen identiteit kan behouden? SUMMARY:RESISTING BIG OIL - INDIGENOUS STRUGGLES FOR LAND AND DIGNITY IN PERU
DESCRIPTION:*** Sept 4\, 19.30 h Forum building B0404\, Campus Wageningen University *** \nOn September 4\, we will have the honour to meet three indigenous leaders from Peru who are resisting Big Oil and have alternative proposals for their future. \nOUR VISITORS ARE: \nAurelio Chino Dahua : Quechua leader of the indigenous federation FEDIQUEP (Quechua Indigenous Federation of the Pastaza river)\, whose 22 communities are located along the Pastaza river in Loreto\, Peru. \nRobinson Sandi Hualinga: Kichwa leader of the Indigenous federation OPIKAFPE (Organization of the Indigenous Amazonian Kichwa Communities of the Peru-Ecuador Border)\, whose 5 communities are located along the Tigre river in Loreto\, Peru. \nAurelio Piñola Hualinga is the Achuar leader of the indigenous federation FECONACOR (Federation of the Native Communities of the Corrientes River Basin)\, whose 13 communities are located in the Corrientes river basin in Loreto\, Peru. \nWHY ARE THEY HERE? \nOil extraction by Pluspetrol has led to large-scale pollution in the territories of the indigenous Achuar\, Kichwa\, Kukama\, and Quechua communities in northern Peru. The oil company discharged huge amounts of toxic wastewater for years and failed to maintain its outdated installations and pipelines\, leading to frequent oil spills. As a result\, toxic substances such as cadmium\, barium\, and lead have contaminated the soil\, rivers and groundwater. Over a period of fifteen years\, the company contaminated nearly two thousand different locations across the Amazon region. \nThis contamination has had devastating consequences on the local ecosystem\, poisoning fish and game stock\, degrading drinking water\, and threatening biodiversity. It directly undermines the food security and health of the indigenous population\, who depend on the land and waterways for their livelihoods. Although Pluspetrol ended its operations in the area in 2015\, it has refused to clean up the environmental damage and compensate the affected communities. \nIndigenous groups have submitted a complaint against oil company Pluspetrol NL at the OECD (the club of ‘rich’ countries). More information here. \nThe Dutch OECD contact point will publish its Final Statement on the complaint on September 3. \nThree representatives of these groups will share this journey with us through images and words and we will talk about their demands to the Dutch government and what’s next. \nJoin us on September 4 at 19.30h in Wageningen for this very special event organised by Agroecologie Netwerk NL\, Stichting Boerengroep and Oxfam Novib.

There will be self-study in the form of preparatory reading tasks and homework\, participants are asked to compile their own learning material from the self-study and the Zoom session. The live sessions will be recorded and recordings will be available for the participants. \nIt is a course designed especially for biodynamic farmers\, trainers and advisors\, but also all other people who are interested in biodynamic agriculture or work in this field are very welcome. An interest in anthroposophical topics is expected. \nThe main language will be English with Spanish interpretation. The input and dialogue in the third session on the 7th will be in Spanish with English interpretation.

DESCRIPTION:In this series of three modules on the topic of “human – cosmos – humus”\, we will look at anthroposophical principles underlying biodynamic agriculture\, study the human constitution and how our whole being is linked to the evolution of the earth and interwoven with the cosmos in its rhythms and formative forces. We want to shed light on these topics from an interdisciplinary perspective and therefore have a guest speaker in each session. \nCan we bring these principles to life in a creative and meaningful way that is inspiring and invigorating and intuitively guide us in our biodynamic work? \n  \nDates and times\nStarting date: 23 June 2025\nEnding date: 1st December 2025\non Mondays at 13:30-15:30 CEST/CET \nModule I: Human \n23rd June\, 30th June\, 7th July 2025 \nModule II: Cosmos \n8th September\, 15th September\, 22nd September 2025 \nModule III: Humus \n17th November\, 24th November\, 1st December 2025 \n  \nThe course consists of three modules with three 2-hour sessions each. \n A few days before the session begins\, an introductory podcast will address the general topics. DESCRIPTION:The Food Autonomy Festival (FAF) is about celebrating resistance and alternatives to the dominating industrial food system. It is a space where activists\, farmers\, researchers\, and food-lovers (and many others who fight for social and ecological justice) are brought together. It is a gathering for everyone who is interested in food justice: those who know about these topics already\, and those who want to learn more. Collectively\, we will take engagement with food beyond procurement and make it a site of resistance\, solidarity\, and autonomy.
